    Thatlookiscompletelyandutterlythesimplisticmomentofherfashiontalent.Thiswasanopportunitytoreallyshowwhatshecoulddoandatthesametimenotdeviatetoomuch,butmakehermoreheightenedandmorestylishandsexy.ThatoutfitisanoriginaldesignthatIcreated,anditismyodetoNewYork.ThatoutfitiseverythingthatNewYorkmeanstome.Itisartdeco-inspired,obviouslybytheChryslerBuilding.ThedetailedworkoftheruchingisreminiscentofMaryMcFaddenandthepleatedfabricthatIused.It’sarawsilkjumpsuitandthebodiceispressedout,thentheoverlay,thetopismeanttobelikethetearsatthetopoftheChryslerBuilding.Ijustloveditsomuch.WhenIfoundthatfabricandsourcedthefabrics,itjustallcametogethertome.It’smyglamourartdecomomentforQuinnbecauseitisatotalNewYorkstylepiece.Thewholecutawaybustlethatshehasisdetachable.ThatcamefromanideafromSeason1thatdidn’tmaterialize,soIjustbroughtitbackinthisway.AndIsaid,“OK,thisisthemomentwhereshe’sabletodetachthebustleandyouseethefull-onjumpsuit.”

    Butitmostlyworks.It’strickytopulloffaTVshowabouttherapy,inwhichanentireepisodeusuallytakesplaceinoneroomwithtwocharacters.InthecaseofBrooke’spatientEladio(AnthonyRamos),ahomehealthcareaidequarantiningwiththewealthyfamilywhoemployshim,he’snoteveninthesameroombecauseheseesBrookeviateletherapysessions.It’sthecombinationofRamos’srivetingperformanceandthestagingandframingofhisepisodesthatmakesEladiothisseason’smostcompellingpatient.WeseehimbothonBrooke’slaptopscreenandinhisroom,whereheoftenrotateshislaptop,orgetsupandmovesaroundthespace.“InTreatment”takesthestaginessofitsformatandturnsitintoanadvantage,ratherthanagimmickoradistraction.Andperhapsitworksevenmorenow,whenmanyofushavespentalotoftimelookinginward,alonewithourtraumas.
